Canvas Holidays

24 Weeks

Anita

We are off on holiday in just over a week, we are only going to Butlins, because I didn't want to fly anywhere with being pregnant, but I know Katie will absolutely love it. We usually take her for Halloween and fireworks, but it will be too close to the birth this year and I don't want to risk it.

I haven't been on many websites this week with having so much to do, but I try to keep up to date with my babies progress by watching the `in the womb' dvd, its a great insight and I love to see Katie watching it too. She is always asking lots of questions when we watch it and we are trying to explain to her all about it. She knows they can't come out yet, but is always asking what they are doing and how big they are.

They are still moving so much and I just love it, Paul has seen and felt them move a lot this week, usually when he puts his hand on my stomach they seem to stop. He has been talking to them which has been really nice. Paul keeps asking what it feels like and I have tried to explain and he loves to feel them moving about. We keep saying that we still can't believe we are having twins and won't feel its real until they are both here.

It's getting to the stage now where everyone keeps asking if I am going back to work, I still haven't made up my mind, Paul keeps saying no whilst I have an open mind. The reality of actually not going back to work is still pretty scary for me and I don't think Paul can see why its such a hard decision. He keeps saying we will work out the money, but I keep avoiding the issue. I'm not the greatest when it comes to money matters, sure I check all my bank statements against my cheque book, but I will happily go out and spend some money on something that we need for the house or Katie and not worry about it I just don't like talking about money, I've always been so indpendant that I find it hard to rely on someone else. So this is still a taboo subject at the minute.

Well tomorrow I am off shopping with Katie and going to have a look at some baby clothes and then we are all off to look at pushchairs, cots, car seats, anything baby related. I want Katie to be involved and she can help us pick things. I want her to feel part of it and not feel left out. So I will catch up with you all next week and see what we have bought.

Take care

Anita
