Your body

Loss of personal confidence can be a big factor for many women post the birth of a child. How you feel about how you look can affect your own self-perception. Getting back in shape may really matter to you.

Please send us your views. Have you got back in shape? Have you found the time?Have you got encouragement to do so from your nearest and dearest, or have you just given up and given your old clothes away to the jumble sale?

A couple of comments may encourage you to share your views with us.

"I was pretty fit before having my daughter and really intended to get back in shape. The problem has been finding the time and the energy. Two years on I still have my wardrobe split pre pregnancy and post pregnancy and I wish I could tone up. My stomach is still in a sad state.

Finding time has been the hardest thing. I manage to take exercise on holiday when my partner is around during the day, but the thought of going to the gym after work, when I want to get back home is a real turn off. Also, I'm often too tired by 7.00pm."

One product that is good because it's flexible is the 'Getting Back' video by Deborah Mackin.

The video recognises that time is an issue and is split into colour coded timed sections so you can fast forward to the bit you want to do if you haven't got time for the whole programme.

It is split between a gentle programme for women to start almost immediately after childbirth and a more energetic programme for women after their six-week check-up. It also has a practical nutrition section. The exercises are good and my stomach muscles are toning up.

Pilates has recently got an excellent press for offering pregnant women a good way of exercising in order to regain their figures soon after birth. Ideally, you should start Pilates exercises prior to getting pregnant, but they can be started during pregnancy if properly supervised initially. The link below goes through to a site that lists all approved pilates instructors in UK.

Nanny
I am looking for a full or part time sole charge nanny position in or around Marlow.

I am qualified in CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Child Care and Education as well as my CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education.

I am still currently working as a nanny share throughout my week. And will be looking for a position ideally on a weds and thurs for part time from mid September/October. I have fantastic checkable references and have been recommended to my employers.

I have been CRB checked, and I thoughroughly enjoy my work with children, I am a fun loving and trustworthy and can be flexible to suit you.

I have a lot of experience, working with twins espeshially as well as newborn experience and SEN (special needs)

I've been working since July 2010 as a nanny working sole charge and as a mothers help position and have worked with 14 children overall, aged from newborn to 9 years.
